February 15, 2008 - IATM supports reinstatement of 12 Day Rule.
IATM has issued a statement in support of the International Road Union's (IRU) call for the reinstatement of the 12 Day Rule for coach drivers.

December 24, 2007 - Travelscope in administration.
The UK Tour Operator, Travelscope, has gone into administration. Passengers can claim compenstion either through
the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) or Association of British Travel Agents (ABTA). Tour Managers with outstanding
payments due should contact the administrators at travelscope@menzies.co.uk.
We recommend that all claims be made immediately with supporting paperwork. Further information can be found at:

2008 IATM membership handbook. You may wish to include guiding qualifications, special interests, languages, etc.

November 12, 2007 - IATM Board makes statement on employment status of TMs.
At a meeting of the IATM board of directors held in London, 9-11 November, 2007, the board made an important
statement of policy regarding the employment status of Tour Managers.

November 12, 2007 - Pilatus closure.
Due to heavy snowfalls the world's steepest cogwheel train (from Alpnachstad to Pilatus Kulm) has had to cease operational services. It will reopen at the beginning of May 2008. The Kriens-side, panorama gondolas and aerial
cableway, are operating according to the timetable.
